Applicants should be aware that these positions may require up to 18 hours of work a week outside of class (including some nights), and require registering for a Radio Practicum course (MDIA 2380R or 3280) and a prerequisite course (MDIA 1560). Audio editing and computer skills are necessary. Scholarship amounts vary by position.

Positions vary and will be customized by the radio instructor. Positions are by semester. Various duties may include, on air work, producing prerecorded content, writing and delivering radio news, scheduling music, promoting the radio station, public relations with other entities on campus, etc.

You must meet these minimum qualifications:

  • Enroll as a full-time student for both Fall and Spring Semester of the academic year for which you are applying
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
